Creative woodworking workshop for families

ABOUT

The Re-creators are offering this FREE woodworking workshop for children and their families.

Kids will learn to use a drill and design and assemble their own wooden masterpiece and decorate it.

This is a great opportunity for families to experiment and think outside the box as they work with the different shapes and sizes of wood provided.

Using wood off-cuts and mis-tinted paint, participants will have the opportunity to give a second life to materials that may otherwise end up in the landfill. They will learn about the importance of sustainability and the role it can play in reducing waste.

This activity will not only be an opportunity for children to have fun, but it will also help install important values and skills that they can carry with them into their daily lives.

Note: please wear old clothing (paint my get on clothes) and closed-toe shoes.
